Our team is in growth mode and we are looking for a Sr. Quality Engineer to join out our dynamic and global Quality team!  

 

Summary of Role: 

 

Sr. Quality Engineer reports to the head of site quality organization, responsible for:

  • Support both front end and backend manufacturing and work with engineering to improve product yield, quality and reliability.
  •  Supervise and perform incoming inspections for substrate, chemicals, and other materials. Develop inspection methods, collect and analyze inspection data, using data to drive manufacture process and inspection process improvement.
  • Coordinate MRB disposition, analyze NCR data, drive to reduce waste and scrap. Managing US suppliers to improve the quality of the incoming materials.
  • Work with Program Management, Design Engineering, and Technology Development Engineering to support NPI programs.   
  • Manage Corrective and Preventive Actions System, monitor data from warranty, customer feedback, and other appropriate sources to provide input to prioritization of corrective action/improvement teams. Lead root cause analysis for product nonconformance including but not limited to product warranty, field returns, customer complaints, out of box failures and manufacturing process failures.
  • Collect and analyze information and data, update weekly quality reports, present the results to team as needed.
  • Perform internal process and QMS audit, write audit reports, drive audit findings to closure. Develop and document the inspection, and process, write procedures and work instructions.

Responsible for leading.

  • Communicate failure analysis to Test Engineering and Product Engineering to result in improved product design and improved product testing to enhance the field reliability of the product.
  • Record and track failure modes for use in identifying trends.
  • Train contract manufacturer personnel in product failure analysis skills, as needed.
  • Drive these issues to resolution, resulting in process/yield improvement.
  • Work with Manufacturing/Test/Product Engineering to identify and resolve issues
  • Drive fast imaging turn-around-time quick resolution of all issues
  • Effective communication (both written and verbal) with colleagues
  • Develop and document best practice failure analysis methods and techniques for TFE products. Create accurate and informative FA Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Strategies that clearly describe test environment, setup, risks, assumptions, strategy to replicate and undercover failure modes.
  • Document and communicate root cause findings, containment and corrective actions

 

Required Qualifications:        

 

  • 5+ year work experiences in semiconductor or other Hi-Tech manufacture environment as process or manufacture quality engineer.
  • Hands on experienced in statistical methods such as DOE, SPC, Sampling plan etc.. 
  • Process oriented, experiences in Quality methods such as 8D, problem solving, CAPA, QMS audit etc. certified ISO lead auditor is preferred.
  • Familiar with NPI process, PLC, MRB, NCR, calibration, experienced in mechanical parts inspection, GD&T, surface finish, visual defects etc. AOI or SEM experience is a plus.
  • BS or MS Degree in EE or Chemical Engineering.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
