Our Engineering department is looking for a Field Test Engineer to join our dynamic team!

This is a position that will be responsible for ensuring TFE’s test systems deployed across the globe meet customer and vendor requirements in terms of performance, throughput and reliability. You will be responsible for system development, calibration,continuous improvement and troubleshooting remotely or on site. This will involve working closely with multiple teams to ensure accurate product level testing. A significant travel component (40%) is expected. Hands on test transfer to offshore manufacturing sites.


  • Interface internally and with vendors/customers to manage test system installation, upgrades, failures and calibration.
  • Remote monitoring of data and system performance. Maintain test system performance metrics.
  • Manage install and calibration schedules, test data analysis, root cause failure analysis and quality improvements across various field test operations. Compile and present data for vendor and internal quality improvement.


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Excellent  core knowledge of control systems, software and instrumentation
  • Software Coding in Python and Lab view.
  • Clear root cause troubleshooting and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.
  • Hands on ability as an individual contributor with a “Do what it takes” attitude to getting things done.
  • Ability to travel to Asia/Europe/N. America/Australia at short notice with minimal travel restrictions.
  • Knowledge of NFC reader and system instrumentation is a significant plus.
  • Minimum B.S. degree in hardware engineering/instrumentation related field. 5+ years experience
  • Proven team player with strong interpersonal skills possessing a demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
